A torn-up roofline after a storm isn't a "get to it next week" problem, and we don't treat it like one — Roof Repair Smedway answers, scopes the damage, and dispatches a crew across Erie fast.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Erie, MI, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
We don't treat licensing as a formality — it's proof that the person on your roof knows what they're doing and that you're covered if anything goes sideways.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Documentation on request, no exceptions.
Storms don't wait for office hours, so our on-call line doesn't either.
No invoice surprises once work is underway.
Crews dispatched from within Erie, MI, not another region entirely.
Most emergency calls we get trace back to a smaller sign that went unnoticed for weeks or months.
Homeowners in Erie often mention they'd noticed something off months before calling — a stain that seemed to fade, a shingle that looked slightly out of place after a storm.
Heavy granule loss usually means the shingles are nearing the end of their service life.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
Pinpricks of light in the attic are an early, fixable version of what becomes a leak later.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
Exposed underlayment is only a temporary barrier — it's not built to handle sustained exposure.
Not every call needs the same fix, so we scope each Erie job individually instead of running everything through one generic quote.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Erie, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
Active leaks get priority dispatch — a temporary cover first, a proper repair as soon as the crew can get materials on-site.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
We schedule commercial jobs to minimize disruption to tenants and foot traffic wherever possible.
Material selection is part of the replacement conversation, matched to your climate exposure and budget.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and unusual roof pitches get handled by our senior technicians specifically.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
A technician walks the roof and, when accessible, checks the attic side for the full picture.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
A final walkthrough confirms everything matches the agreed scope.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
We give you an honest arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week."
We'd rather lose a bid on an honest price than win one that grows later.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
If the finished work doesn't match what was agreed, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Storm-damage jobs come with documentation formatted for how most Erie, MI adjusters review claims.
If a repair solves the problem, that's what we recommend — we don't push a replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
If something unexpected turns up mid-job, like hidden decking damage, we flag it and get your approval before it changes your bill.
If you ever need to use the guarantee, the process is a phone call, not a fight.
Roof Repair Smedway dispatches Roofing crews throughout Erie and the surrounding communities across Erie, MI, with coverage available further out on request.
Because our crews already know Erie's layout, we rarely lose time to a wrong-turn delay that out-of-area companies deal with constantly.
We'd rather confirm coverage on a quick call than have a homeowner assume they're out of range and skip calling entirely.
